CO2 can build up in confined spaces and high levels of CO2 can produce a variety of health effects that can affect sleep, like headaches, dizziness, restlessness, difficulty breathing, increased heart rate and sweating.
Convenience: The mother does not have to do all the feeding and can leave the baby with others while she catches up on sleep or gets a break from the baby.
Some of the interactions are well known already, such as how drinking too much water and interrupt sleep by waking you up to use the bathroom, or how consuming heavy and spicy foods can keep you up, but there may be less apparent effects as well.
