This is a strategy that former Secretary-General Kofi Annan identified, and the UN Foundation has been thrilled to help the UN on this front by building issue-based grassroots campaigns to involve individuals and groups from all walks of life such as basketball players, bishops, business leaders, students and celebrities in the critical work of the United Nations.
