In a statement Tuesday, Braun said his relationship with Bosch was strictly related to his appeal.
Braun said Caldwell's attorneys told him police tried to pressure Caldwell into turning against Blake.
Braun said at the time there were "highly unusual circumstances" that would show his innocence.
Braun said he learned about the statements through search warrants and more than 35, 000 pages of evidence.
"The fact of the matter is she was singled out for special abuse by this committee, " Moseley-Braun said.
"I've lived this nightmare every day for the last four months, " Braun said.

Braun said he had never heard of a case in which the LAPD fired an officer who reported excessive force.
But Braun said Blake never hired Gary McLarty and Ronald "Duffy" Hambleton to kill his wife, contrary to what the two men told prosecutors.
"During the course of preparing for my successful appeal last year, my attorneys, who were previously familiar with Tony Bosch, used him as a consultant, " Braun said.
"Democracy in Africa is very important to me, " Moseley-Braun said.
"They told him last night that if he would cooperate he can go home and sleep in his own bed, and Mr. Caldwell says, you know, 'I've been talking to you for 11 months, I have nothing, '" Braun said.

"I followed the same procedure in collecting Mr. Braun's sample as I did in the hundreds of other samples, " Dino Laurenzi Jr. said in a statement released Tuesday.
