Following its best season ever, the Beren Academy boysbasketballteam is giving up a chance at a state championship this weekend to remain true to its faith.
This problem first hit me a couple years ago when Jordan competed against 40 other boys to get onto the seventh grade basketballteam at his middle school.
Now, I understand the folks here at this school have a pretty good basketballteam. (Applause.) Boys and girls. (Applause.) Unfortunately, I have no eligibility left. (Laughter.) So I can't play with you.
