In contrast to last year's Aspire S3, which costs about half the price, the S5 marks an improvement in craftsmanship, with magnesium alloy now covering the lid, bottom and palm rest.
Palm continues on in its position at the bottom of the market shareholders, dropping from 3.9% to 2.8%, with sales declining for 25% over three months.
