Unfortunately, there appears very little likelihood that President Bush will receive such advice from the sorts of people Senators David Boren (D-OK) and Richard Lugar (R-IN) presumably have in mind for their bipartisan consultative mechanism.
Boren, Jim Costa (D-Calif.) and Dan Lipinski (D-Ill.) are all familiar with the Capitol complex from their days as aides, while Jindal surely got to know the Hill during a stint as a political appointee at the Health and Human Services Department.
