Tadashi Shoji took his guests on journey to the Silk Road, opening his show with a dress that borrowed its color and ornamentation from blue and white Ming dynasty vases.
The film therefore splits between their home town of Seattle (gray and blue, glass and steel) and the mountain stronghold of the Buddhist monks (red and orange, silk and wood).
