Bellshill-based Lamellar said it was working with the Vision Sciences Unit at Glasgow Caledonian University and the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre in its development programme.
He was diagnosed with a form of skin cancer in 1997 and has been part of four different drug trials at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre in Glasgow.
In February, Mr Justice Beatson at the High Court ruled that the order unlawfully deprived E of his liberty, in contravention of Article 5 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).
