As a boy, Stolarz had followed in the footsteps of his older brother Todd, who himself was a junior-level goalie and acted as Anthony's personal coach, familiarizing him with the basics of goaltending techniques and styles, the two of them bonding as they watched old films of Brodeur and Ron Hextall on the family television.
