One group was taught the basicfundamentals of music, including pitch, rhythm, melody and other concepts. (You can see an example here.) The other group was taught visual art training in the basics such as shapes, colors, lines, and other concepts.
With a conference such as this, it is a wise idea to review basic notions and fundamentals, especially given the opportunity of the presence of so many thought-leaders in one venue.
