At a panel discussion this afternoon, my Tax Policy Center colleague Eric Toder described how eliminating every tax preference would cut average after-tax incomes by more than 11 percent.
Students with lower-than-average SAT scores tended to have a stronger preference for schools known for athletic success, while students with higher SAT scores preferred institutions with greater academic quality.
On average, women display a stronger value-orientation, a lower risk preference, a greater willingness to delay gratification, and a preference for thoughtful research-based purchase decisions.
