The British animators, Peter Lord and Nick Park, were trusted to deliver something that would be as recognisably British as Wallace and Gromit, but with international appeal as well.
Tax relief for British animators will be introduced in April 2013 - and will be set at a level described by the chancellor as "among the most generous available anywhere".
