It may take time to catch on, but art critic and Warwick University lecturer Professor Jonathan Vickery thinks art exhibitions in cinema could become a new genre in its own right.
In 1978 Libeskind was appointed lecturer at Cranbrook Academy of Art, and over the next decade progressed to teach at Harvard and UCLA in Los Angeles, lecturing on architectural theory.
The lecturer who spoke about leadership through art produced six paintings of subjects that included Abraham Lincoln, Michael Jordan, the rock singer Bono and the Statue of Liberty, the aides said.
He was an inspired lecturer (almost all his 20 books began as lectures) and several generations of art historians have been shaped by his books and teaching.
