New collected water samples from wells, tapping the aquifer on Argentinan and Uruguayan territory, were analysed on their main chemical parameters and compared with older data.
Elevated fluoride contents in wells tapping the Argentinan part of the aquifer probably originate from the sandy deposits of the Solar Formation intercalated in the Cretaceous Serra Geral basalts.
