Staff volunteering their time have now added 100 albums to the existing collection and uploaded them to a new website called John Peel's RecordArchive.
The archive service was established as the Bedfordshire Record Office by historian and retired zoology professor George Herbert Fowler, who had been elected as a county councillor in Bedfordshire in 1912.
Since Apple excels at catering to creative people, many like being able to record their own sounds, which they can easily archive on their Macs' hard drive.
The Norfolk Record Office has been recognised by the International Council of Archivists as the most advanced archive centre in Europe and holds collections of Outstanding International Importance.
