The stadium and aquatics center should be finished by 2011 to allow them to be used for Olympic test events, Coe said.
Even one of the most dramatic permanent buildings to result from the Games, the aquatics center by Zaha Hadid, is designed to be shrunk.

Over at the Aquatics Center, scene of many U.S. swimming victories last week, Russia's graceful performers won the gold in the team synchronized swimming final, while China took silver and Spain bronze.
