If drilling were just the answer, if nuclear was just the answer, if solar was just the answer, if wind was just the answer, my guess is the problem would have been figured out long ago.
Whether my friend the British CEO would have found the answer to his particlaular problem on a distant campus in Massachussets rather than in the local environment is open to debate.
