This summer, Xerox booted Chief Executive Richard A. Thoman, replacing him with his predecessor, Xerox Chairman Paul Allaire.
The chief executive of online video platform Brightcove, Jeremy Allaire, believes there's a more radical shift taking place.
Indeed, Allaire detailed his thoughts on what could be next for Apple TV in an op-ed Monday morning.
In particular, Allaire thinks those iDevices can help Apple replace the famously and persistently clunky user interface for cable TV.
The company also announced the resignation of CEO Jeremy Allaire, and the appointment of President and COO David Mendels as his replacement.

Allaire believes that instead of requiring developers to code for a third application platform (the TV), AirPlay Mirroring could be used with existing iPad apps.
Jeremy Allaire, chairman and CEO of online video services provider Brightcove, figures Apple will likely come out with a television set at some point.
"We've been focused on trying to understand how the app model evolves with the introduction of the TV platform, " Jeremy Allaire, CEO of online video platform Brightcove told Wired.
"AirPlay functionality is a bit hidden from users and not super easy for developers to implement, " Allaire said of the feature in its current state, so there's ample room for improvement.
Jeremy Allaire, founder, chairman and CEO of Brightcove, shared insights into the growth of web video, which he said has helped his company cross the line into profitability in the last year.
Next: Challenges from cable companies aside, Apple must make a settop box, and it will be far more important than the actual TV set, says Jeremy Allaire, chairman of the online video services provider Brightcove.
Allaire thinks AirPlay, which he says still suffers from some glitches, will be improved in coming Apple TV generations, along with more TV-centric apps, to the point that the lines between TVs and second screens will start to blur.
In the meantime, thinks Mr Allaire, media firms are mainly interested in building their own brands, so Brightcove provides content owners with technology to show television on their own websites, syndicate their shows to other websites, track audiences and collect advertising revenue.
