拿单对所罗门的母亲拔示巴说，哈及的儿子亚多尼雅作王了，你没有听见吗？我们的主大卫却不知道。
Then Nathan asked Bathsheba, Solomon's mother, 'Have you not heard that Adonijah, the son of Haggith, has become king without our Lord David's knowing it?
于是所罗门王差遣人，使亚多尼雅从坛上下来，他就来，向所罗门王下拜。
Then King Solomon sent men, and they brought him down from the altar.
拿单说，我主我王果然应许亚多尼雅说你必接续我作王，坐在我的位上吗？
Nathan said, 'Have you, my Lord the king, declared that Adonijah shall be king after you, and that he will sit on your throne?
亚多尼雅说，你知道国原是归我的，以色列众人也都仰望我作王，不料，国反归了我兄弟，因他得国是出乎耶和华。
As you know, 'he said,' the kingdom was mine. All Israel looked to me as their king. But things changed, and the kingdom has gone to my brother; for it has come to him from the Lord.
所罗门王就指着耶和华起誓说，亚多尼雅这话是自己送命，不然，愿神重重地降罚与我。
Then King Solomon swore by the Lord : 'May God deal with me, be it ever so severely, if Adonijah does not pay with his life for this request!
一日，亚多尼雅在隐罗结旁，琐希列磐石那里宰了牛羊，肥犊，请他的诸弟兄，就是王的众子，并所有作王臣仆的犹大人。
Adonijah then sacrificed sheep, cattle and fattened calves at the Stone of Zoheleth near en Rogel. He invited all his brothers, the king's sons, and all the men of Judah who were royal officials.
所罗门王就指着耶和华起誓说，亚多尼雅这话是自己送命，不然，愿神重重地降罚与我。
Then king Solomon sware by the LORD, saying, God do so to me, and more also, if Adonijah have not spoken this word against his own life.
于是所罗门王差遣耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅，将亚多尼雅杀死。
So King Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and he struck him down, and he died.
于是所罗门王差遣耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅，将亚多尼雅杀死。
And king Solomon sent by the hand of Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; and he fell upon him that he died.
于是，拔示巴去见所罗门王，要为亚多尼雅提说。
Bathsheba therefore went unto king Solomon, to speak unto him for Adonijah.
于是，拔示巴去见所罗门王，要为亚多尼雅提说；
So Bathsheba went to King Solomon to speak to him on behalf of Adonijah.
现在亚多尼雅作王了、我主我王却不知道。
But now Adonijah has become king, and you, my Lord the king, do not know about it.
那时，哈及的儿子亚多尼雅自尊，说，我必作王，就为自己预备车辆，马兵，又派五十人在他前头奔走。
Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him.
拿单说：“我主我王果然应许亚多尼雅说：‘你必接续我作王，坐在我的位上’吗？”
And Nathan said, my Lord, o king, hast thou said, Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?
拿单对所罗门的母亲拔示巴说：「哈及的儿子亚多尼雅作王了，你没有听见吗？我们的主大卫却不知道。
Then Nathan said to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, "Have you not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith has become king and David our lord does not know it?"
亚多尼比色说、从前有七十个王、手脚的大姆指都被我砍断、在我桌子底下拾取零碎食物．现在神按著我所行的报应我了。
Then Adoni-Bezek said, "Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off have picked up scraps under my table. Now God has paid me back for what I did to them."
亚多尼比色说、从前有七十个王、手脚的大姆指都被我砍断、在我桌子底下拾取零碎食物．现在神按著我所行的报应我了。
Then Adoni-Bezek said, "Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off have picked up scraps under my table. Now God has paid me back for what I did to them."
