幼苗期到成株期都可以染病。幼苗染病，开始在嫩尖上出现暗绿色、水浸状腐烂，逐渐干枯，形成秃尖。成株期主要危害茎基部、嫩茎节部，开始为暗绿色水浸状，以后变软，明显缢缩，发病部位以上的叶片逐渐枯萎。
结果表明，抗生素2507在温室人工接菌情况下，防治黄瓜疫病的效果可达95%以上，田间小区防治小白菜霜霉病的效果达到87.5%。
