麦哲伦环球航行是世界航海史上的一大成就，是葡萄牙航海探险家麦哲伦率领的探险船队于1519年9月20日出发，至1522年9月6日成功归来，历时1082天。麦哲伦环球航行成功不仅开辟了新航线，还通过他的探险船队进行的探险航行证明了地球是圆的，地球是个圆球。 麦哲伦1480年生于葡萄牙北部的 一个破落的骑士家庭。10岁左右进入王宫服役，充当王后的侍从。16岁时进入葡萄牙国家航海事务厅，因而熟悉了航海事务的各项工作。
麦哲伦是第一个环球航行的人。
