马戏，是杂技门类之一。原指人骑在马上所作的表演，现为各种野兽、驯禽表演的统称。指以驯马 、马上技艺 、大中型动物戏、高空节目为主 ，包括部分杂技 、魔术和滑稽等的综合演出，多在大型场地 （马戏院、棚、体育馆或广场）的马圈中表演。有演员指挥动物表演各种技巧动作或演员在动物身上作各种技艺表演等形式。广义的马戏也包括杂技在内。马戏有时也与杂技通用。马戏一词在中国，初见于汉桓宽的《盐铁论》。古代马戏专指驯马和马上技艺 。现代狭义马戏专指驯马和马术。
