系大脑的1个叶。大脑顶叶在背外侧面，其前方以中央沟为界，下方以大脑外侧裂为界，后方以自顶枕裂的上端至枕前切迹所作的一条虚线。其内侧面位于扣带沟之上。顶叶的背外侧面有与中央沟平行的中央后沟，此沟的后部有一条前后方向走行的顶间沟，此2沟将顶叶分为3部：中央沟与中央后沟之间有中央后回，顶间沟以上的部分叫顶上叶，顶间沟以下的部分叫顶下叶。顶下叶又分为环曲回和角回。大脑顶叶有感觉中枢和其他许多重要区域。顶叶受到损害，可出现大脑皮层性异常感觉或感觉障碍、运用不能(失用症)、失读症、病灶对侧同向性下象限盲、空间定位障碍及身体萎缩等症状。
