固态物质原子的排列所具有的近程有序、长程无序的状态。对晶体，原子在空间按一定规律作周期性排列，是高度有序的结构，这种有序结构原则上不受空间区域的限制，故晶体的有序结构称为长程有序。具有长程有序特点的晶体，宏观上常表现为物理性质（力学的、热学的、电磁学的和光学的）随方向而变，称为各向异性，熔解时有一定的熔解温度并吸收熔解潜热。
