集中系数指某一地区的某一经济部门，按人口平均的产量、产值等相对数，与全国或全区该经济部门相应指标的比值。公式如右图。 式中C为集中系数，a为所计算地区某经济部门的产量或产值等， m为所计算地区的人口数，A为全国或全区该经济部门的产量或产值等，M为全国或全区人口。集中系数可在一定程度上表示某地区的专门化部门及其在全国或全地区按人均相对指标衡量所处的地位。C值大，表明该地区该部门按人均产量或产值衡量，具有较高的专门化程度；C值小，说明该地区该部门在全区没有太大意义。
