“隔热涂料”：指最近发展起来的一种阻挡、反射、辐射太阳光近红外热量的功能性水性涂料，令屋面隔热降温，节能降耗。具有隔热、防水、防锈、防腐、工期短、见效快的特性，全面取代水喷淋系统，保温棉、发泡海绵、夹层铁皮等。隔热涂料从特性原理分类主要有三种，隔绝传导型隔热涂料、反射型隔热涂料和辐射型隔热涂料。除了上述三种类型隔热涂料，国外隔热功能涂料已经出现一种绝热保温涂料，除了具备上述隔热涂料的优点以外，更具备奇特的保温效果。
