陆地生态系统(terrestrial ecosystem) 是指地球陆地表面由陆生生物与其所处环境相互作用构成的统一体。这一系统占地球表面总面积的1/3，以大气和土壤为介质，生境复杂，类型众多。按生境特点和植物群落生长类型可分为森林生态系统、草原生态系统、荒漠生态系统、湿地生态系统以及受人工干预的农田生态系统。该系统的第一性生产者主要是各种草本或木本植物，消费者为各神类型的草食或肉食动物。在陆地的自然生态系统中，森林生态系统的结构最复杂，生物种类最多，生产力最高，而荒漠生态系统的生产力最低。
