阳极泥是电解精炼中附着于阳极基体表面或沉淀于电解槽底或悬浮于电解液中的泥状物。 阳极泥富集了矿石、精矿或熔剂中绝大部分或大部分的贵金属和某些稀散元素，因而具有很高的综合回收价值。例如铜、铅电解精炼产出阳极泥中的金、银价值，足可抵消电解精炼整个过程的加工费用。
