门画是一种中国特有的传统民俗艺术形式。过去叫“门神”，含有“御凶”的意思。在漫长的岁月里，随着年节风俗的演变而衍生形成的一种民间特殊的象征性装饰艺术。 传统民俗认为年画能驱凶避邪、祈福迎祥，在祈祷丰收、祭祀祖宗、驱妖除怪等年节风俗习俗化的过程中，逐渐出现了与之相适应的年节装饰艺术。
