金属中毒，是指人体因某种金属的含量过多而引起的慢性或急性中毒。金属过量摄入的途径有由呼吸道被吸入，由口腔进入消化道被吸收等。值得一提的是，并非只是过量摄入有害金属才会导致金属中毒，即使是人体所需的金属如果摄入量过大也会导致中毒。
