过继免疫是把致敏淋巴细胞（具有特异免疫力的）或致敏淋巴细胞的产物（例如转移因子和免疫核糖核酸等）输给细胞免疫功能低下者（如肿瘤病人），使其获得抗肿瘤免疫力。过继免疫或继承性免疫犹如继承他人的财产而获得财力，它是用来治疗肿瘤的一种免疫疗法。基于肿瘤的发生、发展和预后与机体免疫功能，尤其是细胞免疫功能关系密切，1985年美国国家癌症研究委员会将癌症的免疫疗法确立为继外科手术、放射疗法和化学药物疗法之后的第四种疗法。过继免疫即是肿瘤生物疗法中的一种。
