辉铋矿晶体属正交（斜方）晶系的硫化物矿物。铋含量占81.3%，是提炼铋的最主要矿物原料。辉铋矿呈微带铅灰色的锡白色，金属光泽。摩斯硬度2～2.5，比重6.8。晶体呈长柱状或针状，集合体呈放射柱状或致密粒状。
