软脂酸（palmitic acid），学名为“十六烷酸”，又称棕榈酸，是一种饱和高级脂肪酸，白色带珠光的磷片。不溶于水，微溶于石油醚，溶于乙醇。易溶于乙醚，氯仿和醋酸。广泛存在于自然界中，几乎所有的油脂中都含有数量不等的软脂酸组分。用作沉淀剂、化学试剂及防水剂。
