质量保证金，或称建筑工程信誉保证金，是指施工单位根据建设单位的要求，在建筑工程竣工验收交付使用后，从应付的建设工程款中预留的用以维修建筑工程在保修期限和保修范围内出现的质量缺陷的资金。 根据建质7号《建设工程质量保证金管理暂行办法》中，第二条解释工程质量保证金（保修金）为同一概念。
