角化层

角化层 （stratum corneum）在皮肤最表面，由多层扁平的角化上皮细胞组成，其厚度不等。腹壁皮肤、头皮等处角化层少，但在足底、手掌等易受摩擦部位的皮肤角化层明显增厚，最厚达2mm以上。显微镜下角化层细胞为均质状，呈嗜酸性，其核及细胞器均消失。细胞质内充满了特殊的角蛋白，角化细胞的细胞膜明显加厚，可达15—20nm。电镜观察，角化层细胞排列紧密，相互嵌合，细胞之间以桥粒连接，其间隙由膜被颗粒排出物充填。这样，角化细胞就组成了具有保护作用的角化层，能阻止有害异物的侵入和阻挡体内液体的丢失过多，从而起到屏障作用。成片脱落的角化细胞称皮屑。
