视交叉（optic chiasm），系视神经的一段。此段位于蝶鞍上，故蝶鞍区域组织有病变时，多波及视交叉可产生不同程度的视野缺损及视力障碍；是双侧视神经部分纤维在中线交叉形成的结构。来自两眼视网膜颞侧半的纤维不交叉，各自进入不同侧的视束中；来自视网膜鼻侧半的纤维交叉，进入对侧视束。视交叉一般位于蝶鞍上方，鞍结节之后，垂体的前上方。若视交叉位于鞍结节之前，则称前置性视交叉；视交叉后移近鞍背时，称后置性视交叉。
