这是一个统计术语。一般以年产量作为企业规模的标准，国家对不同行业的企业都制订了一个规模要求，达到规模要求的企业就称为规模以上企业，规模以上企业也分若干类，如特大型企业、大型企业、中型企业、小型企业等。国家统计时，一般只对规模以上企业作出统计，达不到规模的企业就没有统计。
