裁员，是经济性裁员的简称，是因用人单位的原因解除劳动合同的情形。指的是用人单位在法定的特定期间依法进行的集中辞退员工的行为。实施经济性裁减人员的企业，可以裁减因生产经营状况发生变化而产生的富余人员。
