血证是指由多种原因引起火热熏灼或气虚不摄，致使血液不循常道，或上溢于口鼻诸窍，或下泄于前后二阴，或渗出于肌肤所形成的一类出血性疾患，统称为血证。也就是说，非生理性的出血性疾患，称为血证。在古代医籍中，亦称为血病或失血。 血证是涉及多个脏腑组织，而临床又极为常见的一类病证。它既可以单独出现，又常伴见其他病证的过程中。中医学对血证具有系统而有特色的理论认识，积累了丰富的临床经验，形成了许多有效的治疗方药，对多种血证尤其是轻中度的出血，大多能获得良好的疗效。
