血型系统（blood group system）是根据红细胞膜上同种异型（或表型）抗原关系进行分类的组合。红细胞抗原决定簇可引起同种异型免疫应答，也可引起异种免疫应答。在鉴定人的血型时，一般是用特异性的人抗血清进行凝集反应。每一个血型系统都是独立遗传的，控制一个血型系统的遗传基因大多是在同一条染色体上。目前发现的人类血型系统有35个，但在临床试验中，ABO血型系统和Rh血型系统的临床意义最为重要。
