血吸虫病是由裂体吸虫属血吸虫引起的一种慢性寄生虫病，主要流行于亚、非、拉美的73个国家，患病人数约2亿。血吸虫病主要分两种类型，一种是肠血吸虫病，主要为曼氏血吸虫和日本血吸虫引起；另一种是尿路血吸虫病，由埃及血吸虫引起。我国主要流行的是日本血吸虫病。
