为密教胎藏界三部之一，金刚界五部之一。又称观音部、法部。略称莲部。此部表众生本具净菩提心之理德，又表示如来大悲三昧之德。
稍高处的中心部分为‘极乐’部，上有巨大的绿色莲花，时轮明王与其明妃Vishvamata(时间女神)居于此，周围有8位佛母。
