草麻黄，学名：Ephedra sinica Stapf，为麻黄科草本状灌木植物，高20-40厘米。别名麻黄草、华麻黄。产于辽宁、吉林、内蒙古、河北、山西、河南西北部及陕西等省区。适应性强。草麻黄为吉林省3级重点保护野生植物，中国明令禁止采集野生资源。草麻黄为重要的药用植物，生物碱含量丰富，为中国提制麻黄碱的主要植物。
