航法，是指航迹计算和航行方法的合称。前者用数学计算或査表的方法来确定航向、航程或推算船位，有平面航法、流中航法、折航法、中分纬度航法、墨卡托航法、大圆航法、等纬圈航法、混合航法等八大航法；后者研究船舶在各种不同航海条件下保持在计划航线上的航行方法，可分为大洋航法、沿岸航法、过水闸航法、运河航法、狭水道航法、雾中航法、冰区航法、岛礁区航法等。
