舌苔黄腻在中医诊断中被称为黄腻苔，舌象为苔色黄而粘腻，颗粒紧密胶粘，如黄色粉末调涂舌面。黄腻苔由邪热与痰涎湿浊交结而形成。 苔黄为热，苔腻为湿，为痰，为食滞。黄腻苔主病：主湿热积滞，痰饮化热或食滞化热等证；亦主外感暑热，湿温等证。治宣清热，化湿，祛痰。另外，辨黄腻苔；尚应注意结合舌质合参。临床多见于急慢性胃肠炎。胆囊炎，尿毒症等病人的舌象。
中风病人凡具有便干便秘，舌苔黄腻，脉弦滑等症状，皆可大胆应用。
