舌扁桃体 （lingual tonsil），是位于舌根部，主要由淋巴组织构成的扁桃体颗粒，大小因人而异。舌扁桃体有丰富的黏液腺，表面的隐窝较短，每个隐窝及其周围的淋巴网状组织形成滤泡，许多滤泡组织构成了舌扁桃体。舌扁桃体产生淋巴细胞，共同参与机体的免疫机能，是机体的防御装置。
