自燃点是指可燃物质在助燃性气体中加热而没有外来火源的条件下起火燃烧的最低温度。亦称为发火温度。当可燃物与之混合的助燃性气体配比改变时，可燃物自燃点也随之改变，混合气配比接近理论计算值时，自燃点最低；混合气中氧气浓度增加时，自燃点降低；压力愈大，自燃点愈低。可燃物的自燃点不是物质的固有常数，而与物质的物理状态、测定方法、测定条件等有关。
