自然铂（native platinum）是常含有铁、铱、钯、铑等杂质的铂矿物。颜色为银白色至暗钢灰色，属于等轴晶系。晶体少见。常成不规则的粒状或鳞片状集合体。无解理，断口锯齿状，条痕光亮浅钢灰色。密度15~19，硬度4~4.5。富延展性，分原生矿和矿砂两种。用于提炼铂，同时也可得铱、钯、铑等。 自然铂主要产在基性和超基性的火成岩中，尤其是纯橄榄岩（Dunite）内较为常见。
主要矿物是自然铂矿、铁铂合金、钌铱锇矿、等轴锇铱矿和铱锇矿。
