胃脘,包括整个胃体。胃上口贲门称上脘,胃下口幽门称下脘,界于上下口之间的胃体称中脘。胃脘是一个中医名词。古人认为胃脘处在心下，歧骨（剑突）下的部位为心窝部，在这个部位发生的疼痛，即为心下痛，心口痛、心窝痛、也称心痛。后世很多医家认识到胃与心的解剖部位完全不同，故又把胃痛与心痛区别开来。
