肺痿是阴虚肺伤的慢性衰弱疾患。主要症状为咳嗽，吐出稠痰白沫，或伴有寒热，形体消瘦，精神萎靡，心悸气喘，口唇干燥，脉象虚数等症。本病多续发於其它疾病或经误治之后，津液一再耗损，阴虚内热，肺受熏灼而致。若病久伤气或肺中虚寒而致者，则表现为阳虚，患者多涎唾，常吐出涎沫而无咳嗽。可伴有眩晕、遗尿等症状。
